​Best College Essays 2016

​​As a way to encourage submissions and reward excellence, Best College Essays is running a competition for the best college admissions essays written by students applying to college in the 2015-2016 academic year. First Prize will be $1000.  There will also be two second prizes of $500 each. Runners up will be published in Best College Essays 2015-16.  

Winners will be decided by a panel of judges consisting of admissions people from such colleges and universities as Stanford, Harvard, Oberlin, Brown, Tufts, Wesleyan and Wash U, professional writers and college counselors.

In the short bio that will appear with each submission, there will be mention of the high school the student is attending and a little bit about the process involved in the writing of this essay including acknowledgment of those who helped in this process. Winning essays will be published. We expect to publish between 75-100 essays each year.

Best College Essays 2014 was a great success! We received submissions from every state of the union and all around the world. Best College Essays 2014 has sold thousands of copies and is ranked on Amazon as one of the top books in its field. 

We expect Best College Essays 2016 to be an even greater success.
